My
Story

DOROTHY TZIMAS COUNSELING & PSYCHOTHERAPY Logo and Files (5).png

With more than 25 years’ experience working with children, families and youth, I have facilitated group programs such as Caring Dad’s, Anger Management group program for men, Partner Assault Response program (PAR), Family Counselling for women, men, children and youth. I have worked with families, children and youth exposed to domestic violence, trauma related issues from emotional, physical sexual abuse and mental health issues. In addition to this, I have successfully worked with families and extended families bringing them together to assist the family in creating a plan they own to address pressing concerns.

I am curious about our individual and collective life journeys and how we actively create our experiences and how we can improve our lives, relationship with self and others, ultimately being present to do the inner work. I believe we are truly our brother and sister’s keeper and can all make a difference in peoples’ lives and pass the benefits on. I know the people I serve have all the tools they need to heal themselves as I act as a2 facilitator guiding them to this truth.

My past and current experience serving others has stretched and enriched me as a human being who has been privileged to sit with individuals, children and families as they navigate their way through challenges and transformative experiences.

What I know for sure is tolerance is a stepping stone acceptance is the beginning of understanding and reverence for all is the practice needed to appreciate our rich differences. This practice can only assist in evolving and aligning the personality to the Spirit of Oneness, our oneness, one by one.
